The state of Kerala, neslted on India’s south west tip, was India's main trading port for centuries and has cultural and culinary influences from distant trading partners. Being the spice production center of India, Kerala is also home to a tantalizing cuisine based of the famous Kerala coconut and infused with the wide array of spices.

We believe tasting exotic foods is a big part of the Kerala adventure. While drafting the menu however we took a lot of feedback from young travellers and found that most people would like a balance with western foods like good brown bread, cheese, pizza and pasta options.
One of the promoters, Manu, has owned and operated a restaurant in Sydney, Australia. Our passion and experience in cooking will guarantee that if dishes on our menu will have gone through a rigorous recipe and taste tests. So when we make brown bread, you can be sure it has the correct mix of flours, yeast, baked at the right temperatures and served fresh. When we serve green salad, it will actually be green!!

Instead of a large menu selection where nothing is done right, we have restricted the number of items so that we know that the ingredients are fresh and the chefs are experts in preparing and presenting these dishes.

Breakfasts

We will alternate between various Kerala breakfasts such as dosas, appams, idlis, vadas etc. Also available daily are eggs to order, Muesli, Cereals, Fresh fruits and yoghurt.

Lunch

We will serve a mouth-watering mix of various Kerala dishes on a Thali (plate with various portions of diverse dishes) and fish n chicken marinated in Kerala spices like cardamom, black pepper, mustard seeds and crushed kadi leaves. We will serve the healthiest salads on offer in Kerala and a good range of sandwiches in fresh brown breads

Dinner

In addition to the above we will serve oven-baked pizzas and pastas for which our chef has been trained by an Italian. Our home-made, oven baked brown bread (nope, not the crap sweet milk bread that is omnipresent in India) is a welcome change for most backpackers wanting just an open tomato and cheese on toast

Coffee and Juice Bar

We will have a juice bar that will serve freshly brewed coffee using Kerala beans and juices made of fruit and herb combinations that we continue to experiment and refine!! Perfect for mocktails.

We are NOT licensed to sell alcohol but the law permits guests to bring their own. Ask for Mocktails served in coconuts!
