1. Coming to Alleppey/Alappuzha

Getting to Alleppey/Alappuzha is easy with lotsa national and international connections to Cochin and Trivandrum

Nearest airport is Cochin, 93km, Rs 1,200 by taxi.

Regular connections to Alleppey/Alappuzha from Thrivandrum, Varkala and Cochin (bus from Fort Cochin is unreliable, go to main KSRTC bus stand). Direct connections from Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Goa

Regular connections Public ferry from Kottayam (2.5hr) and tourist ferry from Quillon/Kollam (8hr)

2. Coming to Bamboostix Island Resort

From Alleppey/Alappuzha take an auto to Punnamada Jetty; Rs 75 from Railway Station (8km), Rs 35 from Bus stand (3Km).

Pls ring for pick up from Punnamada jetty or cross the 100 ft (30m) water channel by free public boat (tip Rs5) towards the Sports Association and walk 1.5km to the resort

Important: Please pre-arrange the boat pick up. We have 2 scheduled pickups daily from Punnamada boat jetty at 8:30am and 6:30pm. Government restricts motorised transport on the backwaters after 7pm so that local fishermen can put their nets in the lake. Pickup and drop-offs are charged at Rs.25 per person per trip

The map is not to scale. The railway station is 12km away from the resort and a world away from the traffic and noise of Alleppey/Alappuzha town.
